Kingdom University organized a student visit to King Faisal University in Al-Ahsa as part of efforts to strengthen academic cooperation and cultural exchange between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, particularly with the historically and culturally rich Al-Ahsa region.
The delegation included 25 students from various academic disciplines. They were warmly received by several administrators and academics representing different deanships and colleges, who welcomed the delegation and guided them on a tour of several colleges and educational and recreational facilities. During the tour, students were introduced to the universityโs academic environment and its modern facilities.
The visit aimed to broaden studentsโ academic and cultural horizons, strengthen Gulf ties of brotherhood, and reinforce the concept of openness to diverse educational experiences. It also provided students with the opportunity to engage directly with their peers at King Faisal University and exchange knowledge and experiences.
Following the university tour, the administration of King Faisal University arranged a comprehensive tourism program for the delegation. The program began with lunch at one of Al-Ahsaโs farms, where students learned about the regionโs agricultural nature and heritage. The delegation then headed to Jabal Qarah for a walking and exploration tour, discovering its distinctive natural and historical landmarks. The trip also included a visit to a date exhibition, followed by a visit to a palm exhibition and dinner at a unique heritage site.
The students expressed great appreciation for the trip and the educational, cultural, and social benefits it offered. They emphasized that the visit successfully achieved its objectives by enhancing cultural exchange, introducing them to the nature and environment of Al-Ahsa, and building new relationships with students from different cultural backgrounds reflecting the spirit of cooperation and integration between higher education institutions in the two brotherly countries.
