A course can be given the status of equivalent if:
- The student must have completed the credit hours in the previous university and have achieved a Grade C or above for undergraduate programs and Grade B and above for postgraduate programs.
- The course which the student has previously studied matches at least 70% of the equivalent course description.
- A maximum of 66% of the undergraduate program to which the student is transferring can be recognized through the course(s) that have been given approved equivalency status.
- A maximum of 50% of the postgraduate program which the student is transferring to can be recognized through courses that have been deemed equivalent.
- The NQF level of the course in previous university must be equal or more the NQF level of the course in kingdom university.
- If the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) is not available at the university from which the student is transferring, a comparison is made between the course level of the previous university and Kingdom University.
- No more than 5 years should have passed since the student discontinued their studies at the institution from which they are transferring.
- A course from a similar degree previously obtained by the student is not eligible for credit transfer. Only courses from a qualification leading to a higher degree are eligible for credit transfer.

- Official transcript from the previous university, stamped by Ministry of foreign affairs of the country which certificate and Ministry of foreign affairs in Bahrain and Embassy of the country which granting the certificate in Kingdom of Bahrain.
- Withdrawal/ Termination letter or graduation certificate from the previous university, stamped by Ministry of foreign affairs of the country which certificate and Ministry of foreign affairs in Bahrain and Embassy of the country which granting the certificate in Kingdom of Bahrain.
