In preparation for the holy month of blessings, Kingdom University organized a spiritual and educational lecture titled “Ramadan: Why Do We Yearn for It?”, delivered by Sheikh Suleiman bin Abdulaziz Al-Nufaie, Sharia Researcher at the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs, and Awqaf. This event is part of the “Ramadan with the Beloved (PBUH)” program series, through which the university aims to foster a spiritual atmosphere for students and staff, connecting them with the noble Islamic values derived from the honorable Prophetic biography.
During the lecture, Sheikh Al-Nufaie explored the spiritual and psychological dimensions that make Ramadan an exceptional milestone anticipated by Muslims with love and longing. He highlighted the secrets of the deep attachment to this holy month and the opportunities it holds for positive transformation and drawing closer to Allah. The lecture also focused on reviewing the Prophetic guidance regarding how the Prophet (PBUH) rejoiced at the arrival of Ramadan, and how to invest its days and nights in acts of worship and good deeds that benefit both the individual and society.
The session featured rich and moving discussions that touched the hearts of the attendees. The Sharia researcher presented, in a simplified and engaging manner, the virtues of fasting and its impact on self-discipline and purification, emphasizing that the yearning for Ramadan stems from its role as an opportunity to renew faith and instill the values of compassion and solidarity.
At the conclusion of the lecture, Kingdom University expressed its gratitude and appreciation to Sheikh Suleiman Al-Nufaie for his valuable insights. The university reaffirmed its commitment to organizing such gatherings that contribute to enhancing religious and cultural awareness among students, preparing them to welcome the blessed month of Ramadan with receptive hearts and tranquil souls, following the path of the Chosen One (PBUH).
