KU participates in the Global Exhibition for Higher Education GHEDEX 2024

KU actively participated in GHEDEX 2024, the global higher education exhibition, at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education and the chairman of the Board of Trustees of the HEC.

Universities and higher education institutions from the Arab Gulf and throughout the globe showcased their academic programs and services to students at the event. As it comprises several private and public institutions, the “GHEDEX” expo helps to strengthen the educational tourism industry in Bahrain, according to KU President, Prof. Hassan Al-Hajhoj, added: “Kingdom University is keen to participate in such exhibitions, and we are committed to providing diverse and distinguished academic programs, which contribute to developing the skills necessary for male and female students to compete in the labor market.”  

He said, “We have 11 programs, including eight bachelor programs in different disciplines: Bachelor of Architecture, Bachelor of Interior Design, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Bachelor of Science in Financial Management and Accounting, Bachelor of Science in Financial and Banking Management, Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with two different tracks; artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, in addition to the College of Law. We also have five master programs, and we started receiving students from outside Bahrain. 10% of our students are from 13 countries and most of them are from Saudi Arabia.”

He added, “We are keen to ensure that Kingdom University represents an ideal destination for higher education in the Kingdom of Bahrain, as higher education in Bahrain has achieved advanced levels, superior quality and distinguished programs.”  

The president announced that the university will launch two master’s programs in architecture and computer and two tracks in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence in addition to the strategic plans, which began in 2022 and ran through 2027, including programs to be submitted to the HEC.
