Kingdom University, as the scientific partner in the work of the Eighth International Conference for Legal Entrepreneurs, is participating in the work of the Eighth International Conference for Legal Entrepreneurs, which is held under the title: “Digital Currencies between Future Prospects and the Challenges of the Law”, organized by the Gulf International Center and under the patronage of His Excellency Mr. Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, Speaker of the Shura Council, on November 29, 2025 in the capital, Manama.
This participation comes within the framework of the university’s commitment to its leading role in promoting legal scientific research, keeping pace with the rapid digital transformations, and consolidating its position as an effective academic institution in supporting scientific initiatives with a strategic dimension.
A number of faculty members at the Faculty of Law at Kingdom University contribute to enriching the themes of the conference by presenting qualitative scientific papers, most notably: Dr. Abdulbaset Al-Hakimi: A paper entitled “Crimes Related to Digital Currencies”, which deals with the legal problems related to cybercrimes arising from the use of digital currencies, and the mechanisms to address them legislatively and judicially, Dr. Maha Al-Sakka: A paper titled “The Future of Smart Contracts and Stablecoins and Their Impact on the Economy” reviews the legal and economic dimensions of these digital innovations, and discusses ways to regulate them in order to achieve a balance between technological development and financial stability.
The university’s participation in the membership of the scientific committee of the conference reflects its commitment to enhancing academic cooperation and exchanging experiences, as Dr. Abdulbaset Al-Hakimi โ Faculty of Law and Dr. Naji Nimran โ College of Business Administration participate, within the framework of supporting scientific efforts aimed at developing legal and economic frameworks in light of the digital revolution.
Through this partnership, Kingdom University affirms its keenness to spread legal awareness related to digital currencies, and advocate for the formulation of flexible legislation and regulations that keep pace with technological innovation and contribute to creating a supportive legal environment for the digital economy in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the region.
