Summary

Prof. Hassan AlHajhoj is a Professor of Economics. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in economics from Washington State University, USA, and master’s degree in economics from California State Polytechnic University, USA and bachelor’s degree in economics from King Faisal University, Saudi Arabia. Prof. AlHajhoj served for more than 25 years in academic, administrative, and professional fields. In addition, he served as the Vice President for Research and Postgraduate Studies at King Faisal University (KFU). During his tenure, he worked in partnership with colleges, and major centers and institutes to advance the research enterprise at KFU. The VP for research and graduate studies connects faculty to research funding opportunities and is also responsible for ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of research administration, as well as research integrity and increases the quality and quantity of postgraduate studies programs. He also seeks to enhance the reputation of the university through the excellence of the research conducted by its faculty and students and the quality of postgraduate studies programs.

Prof. AlHajhoj has also served as KFU’s dean of the School of Business, chair of the scientific board and chair of the Department of Economics. As dean of the School of Business, he led the school by providing strategic, scholarly and financial leadership.
