Prof. Hassan Al Hajhoj, President of Kingdom University, received and honored student Hassan Al Shareef in recognition of his achievement in securing second place in the “Startup Bahrain” competition, which aims to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

During the meeting, discussions were held regarding potential research collaboration between the student and university faculty members to develop a scientific white paper focused on the application of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in data structuring, labeling, and scraping—areas that represent key technical challenges in global markets today.

The “Startup Bahrain” competition is one of the Kingdom’s leading national initiatives designed to foster an entrepreneurial ecosystem and empower innovative startups across various sectors. The competition saw the participation of 47 teams, each competing to develop creative solutions. Hassan Al Shareef’s team earned second place with their AI-powered platform that helps marketing professionals plan advertising campaigns more accurately and efficiently by forecasting key performance indicators such as Return on Ad Spend (ROAS), Return on Investment (ROI), and Cost Per Acquisition (CPA) before budget allocation.

Prof. Al Hajhoj expressed his pride in Hassan Al Shareef’s accomplishment, commending his excellence and creativity, and reaffirming Kingdom University’s commitment to supporting innovation and entrepreneurship among its students, while encouraging them to participate in national and international initiatives that contribute to building a knowledge-based economy driven by creativity and technology.
