As part of its efforts to promote the values of social solidarity during the blessed month of Ramadan, Kingdom University launched a humanitarian initiative under the name “Kingdom of Goodness”, during which an Iftar was organized by distributing Iftar meals in the outdoor courtyard of the campus, targeting needy fasting people in the area surrounding the university.
The initiative witnessed the participation of 50 volunteers from the university’s students and affiliates, who prepared and distributed more than 300 Iftar meals, in an atmosphere full of cooperation and brotherhood. The outdoor courtyard of the campus has been chosen as a place for Iftar.
Prof. Hassan Al-Hajhoj, President of Kingdom University, stressed that the initiative embodies the university’s humanitarian and social mission that the “Kingdom of Goodness” initiative is not just meals to be served, but rather a message through which we seek to consolidate the culture of giving, and to notify the needy that they are part of our social fabric. The university is not only an academic campus, but a house of goodness that opens its doors to the members of society.
This initiative is in line with our vision to strengthen partnership with the local community and will be the start of a series of sustainable initiatives.
