Kingdom University has opened the International Conference on Business and Digital Technology, with the wide participation of academics and experts in the financial, business, and technology sectors. The two-day conference will review the latest trends in digital transformation, opportunities and challenges associated with it, in addition to discussing specialized scientific research papers.
The President of the University, Prof. Hassan Al-Hajhouj, stressed that the year 2025 is an important milestone in the path of global digital transformation, pointing out that advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, automation, and cloud computing are reshaping economies and business models in an unprecedented way. He pointed out that the conference represents a platform for dialogue, cooperation, and the exchange of experiences, and aims to guide digital transformation with responsibility and strategic vision. He also stressed the university’s commitment to preparing a generation capable of keeping pace with innovation and technological developments.
For his part, Prof. Nader Al Bastaki, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Scientific Research, said that the conference received about 150 accepted scientific papers that were carefully reviewed, and will be published on the “Scopus” platform and in a book published by “Springer Nature”. He added that the conference combines the academic and practical aspects by involving representatives from the industrial, government and financial sectors.
A number of speakers also discussed the most prominent axes of digital transformation, including Prof. Malfi Al-Rashidi, who addressed the importance of data as the “oil of the world”, stressing that leveraging it is the biggest challenge. Other researchers discussed the future of artificial intelligence and its impact on economic sectors and jobs.
The conference will include research sessions and virtual presentations by researchers from around the world, as part of promoting knowledge sharing on digital transformation and its impact on business, finance and industry.
