Kingdom University successfully hosted the International Conference on Business and Digital Technology (ICBDT 2024) at the Wyndham Grand Hotel, Bahrain. The conference was graced by the presence of Dr. Diana Abdul Karim Al Jahromi, Secretary-General of the Higher Education Council, and brought together a distinguished gathering of experts, academics, and industry professionals from various sectors.
The conference covered a wide range of critical topics, including cloud computing, big data, the Internet of Things, fintech, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and e-commerce. A panel of renowned keynote speakers provided valuable insights into the latest advancements in these fields. Notable speakers included Dr. Khalid Al-Matouq, Executive Vice President of Operations and Governance at the Information and eGovernment Authority, Dr. Jassim Haji, Head of the Global Artificial Intelligence Group, and Dr. Mathna Abdul Razzaq, President of the American University in the Emirates.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Hassan bin Rafdan Al Hajhoj, President of Kingdom University, emphasized the significance of the event in highlighting the latest technological innovations and their impact on the business world. He stated, “We are delighted to host this distinguished international conference at Kingdom University, which aims to foster collaboration between academics, business leaders, and policymakers and facilitate the exchange of expertise and knowledge in the field of digital technology. A panel discussion on the technology revolution in the business world featured a distinguished group of experts, including Adnan Yusuf, Chairman of Galaxy Fintech, Ahmed Aldossary, Executive Director of Bahrain Net, Bader Sater, Executive Director of Fintech Bay, Dr. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Khalifa from the Ministry of Interior, and Shafaq, Director of Payments at BenefitPay. The panelists discussed the latest technological advancements and their impact on various industries and the national economy in the Kingdom.
