The Internship, Alumni Affairs, and Career Guidance Unit, in cooperation with INJAZ Bahrain, organized a workshop titled “Head Start: Boosting Your Employability”, aimed at enhancing students’ professional skills, building self-confidence, and preparing them for future career opportunities.
The workshop was delivered by Mr. Hussain Al-Nasser, Group Assistant Manager at Y.K. Al-Moayyed & Sons, who shared practical insights drawn from his professional experience and highlighted key competencies required in today’s competitive job market.
The program focused on meeting the needs of a diverse group of students by introducing fundamental concepts related to business and economics, as well as helping participants explore their interests and potential career paths. It also emphasized the development of essential employability skills, including how to write a professional curriculum vitae (CV), the importance of effective interview preparation, and strategies for successfully conducting job interviews.
In addition, the workshop addressed the key steps involved in preparing for an internship period and provided guidance on how to identify and secure suitable internship opportunities that align with students’ academic backgrounds and career goals.
This initiative reflects the ongoing efforts of the Internship, Alumni Affairs, and Career Guidance Unit to support students’ career readiness and strengthen their connection with the labor market through practical training and professional development programs.
