Kingdom University hosted the International Conference on Business and Digital Technology (ICBDT 2026) on Wednesday, 29 April 2026, bringing together a distinguished group of academics, researchers, and specialists from Bahrain and abroad. Held virtually, the conference reflects the ongoing commitment to advancing scientific research and keeping pace with rapid digital transformation.

The conference aims to highlight the latest trends in digital transformation, financial technology, artificial intelligence, and entrepreneurship, while exploring how emerging technologies can be leveraged to drive business development and sustainability. It also serves as a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration between academic institutions and both public and private sectors.

The opening session featured keynote addresses by Kingdom University President Prof. Hassan bin Rafdan Al-Hajhoj and Vice President for Academic Affairs and Scientific Research Prof. Nader Al Bastaki, alongside keynote speakers including Prof. Abdulrahman bin Issa Al-Laili from King Faisal University in Saudi Arabia and Dr. Nadeem Khalid from Anglia Ruskin University in the United Kingdom.

The conference program covered a range of specialized tracks addressing key topics such as cybersecurity, e-commerce, big data analytics, digital marketing, artificial intelligence and its business applications, as well as the future of work and digital business models.
