Under the auspices of His Excellency Dr. Muhammad bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Higher Education Council, and in the presence of Dr. Diana Abdul Karim Al-Jahrami, Secretary General of the Higher Education Council, the President of Kingdom University, Professor Hassan bin Rafdan Al-Hajhoj, participated in a panel discussion on artificial intelligence with the participation of heads and officials of a number of institutions Higher Education, on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at the Seef Mall in Manama.

The panel discussion, which dealt with the subject of artificial intelligence as one of the university majors that provide promising job opportunities in the labor market, witnessed an interaction by the participants.

Professor Al-Hajhoj emphasized that artificial intelligence has become one of the most important technologies that will shape the future of the world, and that higher education institutions in the Kingdom of Bahrain play an important role in preparing qualified cadres to work in the field of artificial intelligence.

Professor El-Hajhoj said, “Artificial intelligence has enormous potential in improving the quality of life, creating new opportunities for economic growth, and solving some global challenges.”

He added, “The institutions of higher education in the Kingdom of Bahrain have a moral responsibility to prepare qualified cadres to work in the field of artificial intelligence, and to ensure that this technology is used in a responsible manner.”

Al-Hajhoj focused on reviewing the latest technologies and innovations in the field of artificial intelligence applied by Kingdom University and how they can be developed to improve the quality of education and empower students and researchers.
