Summary
Prof. Nader Al-Bastaki obtained his BSc and MSc degrees in Chemical Engineering from the Department of Chemical Engineering at McGill University, Montreal, Canada in 1981 and 1983 and obtained his PhD degree from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, at UMIST, University of Manchester, in 1989 in the area of Polymer Composites. He worked as a lecturer in the Gulf Polytechnic, Bahrain, in 1983-1984 and joined Arabian Gulf University as a lecturer and later as an assistant Professor. In 1992, he joined the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Bahrain. He was promoted to the ranks of Associate Professor and Full Professor at the University of Bahrain. In the College of Engineering, University of Bahrain, he held the positions of Chairman of Chemical Engineering, Department, the Head of Accreditation and Quality Assurance Office for the Colleges of Engineering and IT, and the Dean of the College of Engineering. In 2016, he moved to Kingdom University as the Vice President for Academic Affairs and Scientific Research.
