Kingdom University organized the International Conference on Business and Digital Technology (ICBDT 2024) from 27 to 28 November 2024 at the Wyndham Grand Hotel in Bahrain. The conference was attended by Dr. Diana Abdul Karim Al-Jahromi, Secretary General of the Higher Education Council, with distinguished participation from experts, academics and interested people from various sectors.
The conference addressed a wide range of important topics, including cloud computing, big data, the Internet of Things, fintech, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and e-commerce. Keynote speakers provided valuable insights on the latest developments in these areas, including Dr. Khalid Al Mutaweh, Executive Vice President of Operations and Governance at the Information & eGovernment Authority, Dr. Jassim Haji, President of the Global AI Group, and Dr. Muthanna Abdul Razzaq, President of the American University in the Emirates.
In his opening remarks, Prof. Hassan bin Rafdan Al-Hajhooj, President of Kingdom University, stressed the importance of this event in shedding light on the latest technological innovations and their impact on the business world. He said: “We at Kingdom University are pleased to host this distinguished international conference, which aims to enhance cooperation between academics, businessmen and decision-makers, and exchange experiences and knowledge in the field of digital technology. We believe that technology plays a crucial role in driving sustainable development, and we must do our best to effectively utilize it.”
The conference included a panel discussion on the technology revolution in the business world. The session was attended by a group of experts, led by Mr. Adnan Yousef, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Galaxy Fintech, Mr. Ahmed Al-Dosari, Executive Director of Bahrain Net, Mr. Bader Sater, CEO of Fintech Pay, Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Khalifa from the Ministry of Interior, and Ms. Shafaq, Director of Payment Methods Benefit Pay. Experts discussed the latest technological developments and their impact on various industries and the national economy in the Kingdom.
The International Conference on Business and Digital Technology aims to strengthen Bahrain’s position as a regional hub for innovation and technology and encourage the adoption of digital solutions in various sectors.
