Kingdom University (KU) recently hosted a lecture on cybersecurity by the National Cyber Security Center (NCSC) to emphasize the significance of cybersecurity, the latest best practices, the challenges faced, and the various specialized fields within this dynamic discipline. The event was organized by the Information and Communication Technology Department and the Information Technology College.

The KU’s President, Prof. Hassan Bin Rafdan AlHajhoj, and Vice President for Academic Affairs and Scientific Research, Prof. Nader Mohamed AlBastaki, welcomed Ms. Aysha Ahmed Bin Haji Director of Outreach and Awareness Directorate at the National Cyber Security Center (NCSC), and her team.

In today’s world of rapidly evolving technology, cybersecurity has become increasingly critical, with safeguarding digital systems and data being of utmost importance. Recognizing this need, KU collaborated with NCSC to arrange this enlightening lecture on cybersecurity.

The lecture provided valuable insights into current trends, challenges, and methodologies for securing digital assets. Attendees gained comprehensive knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, and an understanding of how to protect critical information and systems against a variety of cyber threats. The speakers discussed the latest cutting-edge technologies and strategies employed in the ongoing battle against cyberattacks, ensuring that attendees left with a heightened understanding of digital asset security.
