Kingdom University celebrates Sixth Graduation Ceremony

Manama, 26 November 2016 : Bahrain-based Kingdom University celebrated last night the graduation of 213 students who have completed the requirements for bachelor’s and master’s degrees in the university’s colleges.

The sixth graduation ceremony took place under the patronage of Professor Mohammed bin Rashid Al Faqih, Chairman of KU’s Board of Trustees, at ART Rotana Hotel, and was attended by number of VIP figures and graduates families.

By celebrating the graduation of the 213 students, Kingdom University’s records increases to 1788 Bachelor degree graduates and 102 Master degree graduates from College of Law, College of Business Administration, College of Architecture and Interior Design, and College of Communication and Public Relations.  

The ceremony featured a keynote address by KU Board Member, Engineer Tariq bin Othman Al Qasabi who congratulated the students on reaching this important milestone in their lives. “You should all be extremely proud of yourselves for achieving this important goal” said Al Qasabi, stressing on the importance of continuously developing their skills and knowledge to participate effectively in improving their societies.

On the other hand, KU President Professor Yusuf Abdulghafar addressed the graduates and encouraged them to approach the next phase of their lives with utmost professionalism, and to apply the unique set of theoretical and applied skills gained in their experience as undergraduates, to their professional careers. In addition, he emphasized continued efforts to advance the quality of KU’s offerings through strategic partnerships with the most prestigious educational and professional institutions worldwide. He also stressed the importance of the quality and role of higher education in meeting the development needs of the business sector and its contribution towards supporting economic prosperity.

This was followed by a speech from a graduate, Yusuf Ahmed Yusuf, who shared his experience of having his ambitions fulfilled through his education at KU; “KU ensures that its graduates become the bright future of Bahrain.” He stressed how his time at KU had broadened his Horizons and given him the confidence and strength to step into the unknown. Yusuf expressed – on behalf of the graduates – his deep gratitude to the Management, Academics and all the staff at KU for their continuous care and support.
